19/03/2020
To all our patients and the general public.
As Coronavirus affects the running of the country more and more, we would like to keep you informed of our current position.
We will remain open until instructed by our Governing body , Government directive or if staff succumb to the virus itself.
In order to reduce the risk of infection, we will be asking all patients who have symptoms to wait until they are symptom free before booking their appointment.
Staff will be asking prior to booking about symptoms. Please do not be offended if they request you not to attend should symptoms be present. We will also refuse to examine any symptomatic patients who attend the practice in order to protect staff and keep our service running.
Practices procedures are in place to reduce the risk of Coronavirus within the practices in line with guidance from nhsEngland.
We will be advising vulnerable groups to delay their appointments unless absolutely necessary.
Appointment times are being spread out throughout the day in order to reduce crossover of patient attendance which may result in longer waiting times for appointments.
Patients are requested to telephone to arrange appointments for spectacle/ contact lens collections thus helping social distancing.
If patients are self isolating or reluctant to attend the practice and require delivery of spectacles/contact lenses or require emergency repairs please telephone to request delivery and we will endeavour to provide this. Payment can be made for products by card payment over the telephone.
We will post updates as the situation changes. Should you have any questions in this time of uncertainty contact our branches Mirfield 01924 492061 or Leeds 0113 2705009.
Please keep safe and well, many thanks
Yours sincerely
